A regular feature of this column, the Swiss duo One Rusty Band keeps getting better with this thrilling third album: the one-man-band (vocals, guitar, harmonica, percussion) and his fiery rhythm partner (tap dance, washboard, backing vocals) dive into blues on “Line After Line” and boogie on “Across the Country” with an unmistakably rock attitude (“I Wanna Kill You”), even punk (“Wild Child”), rockabilly (“Again”), or heavy (“Dust Bowl”). They string together feverish anthems like the electrifying “Happy Mess”, driven by a blazing harmonica, and are asserting themselves as one of the most promising acts on the indie scene.
